Last Night at the Proms – Brockville Oct. 3 1900-2100 Brockville Arts Centre

The Maple Leaf Brass Band are pleased to present The Last Night of the Proms Concert, “Road to the Isles”, a Musical tour through the British Isles. Featuring Christopher Coyea, Alex Fleuriau Chateau. Two choirs will also be performing – The Brockville Community Choir and St. John’s United Church choir. A great variety of music for all tastes. We are pleased to welcome back Margaret Whisselle on piano. Don’t forget to bring your favourite flags for the second half. Nov. 1  1900 St. Matthias Anglican Church, 555 Parkdale Ave. Ottawa The Last Night of the Proms Concert is a traditional event in London, England, performed at the Royal Albert Hall and is always the last concert of a series featuring many different orchestras, soloists, bands and other artists. The concert usually features a theme for the first half, this year ours is Viennese and after a short intermission, follows a traditional format. Rule Britannia performed by either female or male singers either solo or duet, Land of Hope and Glory, British Sea Songs and Jerusalem form part of the finale. The concert usually features a theme for the first half, this year ours is Viennese and after a short intermission, follows a traditional format. Rule Britannia performed by either female or male singers either solo or duet, Land of Hope and Glory, British Sea Songs and Jerusalem form part of the finale. The audience are invited to participate in song and flag waving. This year, two of Brockville’s own, Chris Coyea and Alex Fleuriau Chateau are the featured vocalists along with a massed choir from local churches. This is a fun evening that we hope will become a tradition at the Brockville Arts Centre. Spring Concert featuring Oystein Baadsvik

May 18 1930 St. Matthias Anglican Church, 555 Parkdale Ave. Ottawa An Exciting Concert featuring the Maple Leaf Brass Band and special guest soloist from Norway, Oystein Baadsvik.  Oystein is an internationally known tuba soloist and he will be performing a variety of entertaining solos to suit all tastes.  Tickets are $20 and will be sold through the Maple Leaf Brass Band: treasurer@mapleleafbrassband.org
